Work with us

You can work with Professional Concern in a number of ways. We welcome new initiatives that fulfil our mission to provide support to the nursing profession.

NHS professionals

Professional Concern has been regularly working with a number of professionals within the NHS. To date, our activities have focused on Derbyshire hospitals within the Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust.

If you are a member of the NHS, you may wish to contact us to:

  • seek advice and practical support on a specific subject
  • seek input when developing training for staff
  • seek input when developing strategies or policies

Agencies and networks

Professional Concern has also been active in discussions with national organizations such as the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

We are also in contact with other networks, who want to bring about positive changes in hospitals. We welcome contact with other networks to share ideas and good practice, and to discuss working together.

To find out more, please contact us.

Join Professional Concern

Since its formation in 2007, Professional Concern has welcomed many new members. Whilst the group is predominantly made up of retired nurses, we encourage all nursing professionals who are interested in our activities to join us. The group meets once every month.

Perhaps you are currently working as a nurse, but feel you are unable to dedicate the time. There are a number of ways that you can contribute and you can keep up to date with the group’s news through this web site.
