Who we are

Professional Concern is an independent group of nursing professionals that was formed in January 2007 when a number of retired nurses came together with a desire to bring about positive change in hospitals.

Our members are all nurses who are concerned by the problems of basic nursing care in hospitals today. It is this desire to help bring about positive change that motivates our members.

Our mission

Professional Concern’s mission is to support the nursing profession and to put patients at the centre of nursing care.

We aim to:

  • support the nursing profession by providing practical expertise
  • liaise with policy-makers and educators
  • advocate for change through cooperation and consultation
